1980's Peugeot Road bike restoration - HELP needed please!

Hello All,
I have recently purchased a 1980's Peugeot Raod bike - See attached images - for a restoration project over the summer.
I need some help identifying the model/year etc so i can find out the correct components to fit, and threadings etc for bottom brackets and head sets. I have included a list os the parts i have and brand if this will help at all.
Atax stem
Mafac Brakes
Simplex front and back derailleur
Simplex gear shifter levers
Stamping on rear wheel mounting slot = B20228648 (see image)
Can any one help me to idenify the model/year or adive the likely bottom bracket and head st thread type/size.
I Understant french bike of this age coule be English/french/swith threaded.

hi, been after a carbolite to re live my youth. could you please tell me what the rear drop out spacing is please. i had steel wheel rims on mine,still went like a bomb...but then i was a lot lighter !

my 1985 and 1987 Peugeot are both 120mm
stretched one a bit [using threaded rod ] to fit 124mm wheels - no prob

modern wheels are 130mm so stays could be 'cold set' - at your risk and peril

i would find/buy 36 hole hubs at 120mm whatever yours measures
buy Mavic Sport rims
have them built by somebody

There's no risk or peril involved in cold setting a lower end frame.

I've straightened out seat and chainstays that had been stomped in and dented with bricks. Miraculously going from 126mm spacing to 50mm spacing to 120mm again hasn't caused it to explode. Many hundreds of miles and a bare metal respray and it's still not even got a crack in it. With that in mind, bending an undamaged frame out 5mm a side is completely pedestrian.

Don't treat it with precision if it wasn't built with precision.

encouraging facts chaps,i reckon carbolite could be just as good as 531 but prob not double butted.this must be an earlier one with standard lugs.like the vitus tubed ones.would be fun to do a build with lightish stuff and get down to 9kg as one reader has said his feels great at 26lb.
[any one know the the seat post diameter ? ]

Just buy some cheapo callipers and bung it in there. Saves time faffing next time you need a measurement.
