Now Eroica is over and I have finished building bikes for myself and friends it is time to make a start on this project. Been looking forward to it for some time but must admit to loosing some enthusiasm after seeing so many over the weekend at Eroica but have come to the conclusion that I am building it for me and as it was originally bought back in 1978 as a frameset it would and will be different from the run of the mill Campagnolo equipped models.

Very nice :) forks look later though. I see it has a Shimano bottom bracket............ good starting point for some late 70's Jap kit :D

I noticed a few Raleigh's too, you could put a few 8 man teams together with the numbers there. It will be nice to see a shimano one if thats the way you're going with it all the best with it.

I am fairly certain they are the original forks. They first came on the 1976 Team Pro in full chrome.

This is NOS but came in a plastic bag with a Shimano header card, most odd.

The gear levers are good but probably not good enough for this build.

This front mech should clean up fine and will be used if a NOS one does not come along.

Now for the icing.

Not certain if I will be using this yet as I can not find any affordable matching Bars.

Very nice, I do like a good bit of Shimano Kit :)

Yep, Team Frames did come with all chrome forks but AFAIK the 70's crown was a full sloping Cinelli jobbie that wasn't waisted.
