1977 Raleigh competition G.S. ground up restoration.

Some more pictures! With the panniers I put together! Rode the bike to work and up to my parents house and thought I would get a few more pics of the bike. Hope you all like them.

Thank you all for the kind words it was a labor of love, and an experiment with my abilities as a painter.

It looks really superb ! - You can paint one of my bikes, anytime.

I think that the colours that you've used, look entirely appropriate.

But how did you get such a good job ? What kind of paint did you use ?

Thanks guys for the nice words. Believe it or not the paint job is a combination of Auto retouch spray paint and model paints. Lots of primer and spray coats and probably not quite enough clear coat to finish it off. I think I might end up investing in a paint gun for other projects since this one ended up nice, it might be worth upgrading from rattle cans. We will see how the durability ends up being.

Trying to ride three or four times a week to break in the saddle...slow progress. :?

Saddle is breaking in nicely took it for a fully loaded ride last week on the mountain with the Lady friend, it road very nicely even under load.
