I must have done something good this year, I have been given another bike.
This one is a 1974 Freddie Grubb Galibier, by Holdsworth.
It’s very grubby having been in storage for decades and the wheels are shot but I think it will come up nicely.

Stripped down, not too bad except for the wheels which are shot.

A good clean and rebuild with newer set of wheels. Keep it as original as possible.

No drama with seat post, stem or cranks then? Should buff up nicely.

Just struggling to get non drive side crank arm off, letting it soak for a bit.

Ah yes, I see it stubbornly lurking in your last picture! I guess if push comes to shove you could remove it with the bottom bracket from the same side?

Yes if all else fails.

Bottom bracket and crank arm successfully removed and frame cleaned with multi surface lemon scented wipes. She looks and smells very fresh and fragrant.
She bears a few blemishes but she is nearly 50!
