1974 Freddie Grubb Galibier.

Just waiting for replacement Campag Velox rear derailleur to arrive from France to finish it off.
I think it’s looking good, oh and some pedals.

Campag Velox rear derailleur arrived from France, it’s polished up really well with fingers and oil.

Grubbs are great frames for Holdsworth "budget" models!

Mine is a Veloce (path) from 1967, also in original paint finish and it rides brilliantly. Comfortable but responds when you put pressure on the pedals. Probably one of the frames I'll keep when I have to reduce my collection (eeeek).

Ready to roll at last, had some problems with rear gears but sorted now. The rear derailleur was fixed to drop out with a mounting plate that was set into the wheel, I couldn’t get the smallest sprocket. Fitted with a flat plate, sorted.

That paint has come up great. It looks like quite a "soft" ride and I'd imagine it would be great rolling on what is now known as - ahem - "gravel riding".

How is the Velox shifting doing? Put one on a Lenton Sports when I changed the wheelset out to run a derailleur rather than SA hub and I find it needs a lot of encouragement (overshifting) before it'll let you have a lower sprocket.

Hope it's making you smile when you roll out.
