1971, young couple from Eugene Oregon (hippies) got married and honeymooned by backpacking around Europe.

They got to Milan and saw lots of people on bikes. Italians aren't as known as the French and English for bike touring, but they didn't know that.

They asked about a bike shop. Someone led them around the corner to Cino Cinelli's shop. A his/hers bikes were created and off they went.

First all around Southern Europe, Italy, Greece, Spain, then up through France to the scandia countries. All across America, and South America too.

She is in her 80s and still spry. Bought an elec assisted bike.

His hips don't work so he has been done for awhile.

I was so happy to meet them, hear their stories and buy for my sweetie and I that I neglected to measure the "HIS" which is too tall for me.
'Boo.
