Built by my grandfather this lovely 21” Claud Butler frame was manufactured in April 1953 and supplied to H & J Morton’s cycle shop in Southport, Lancashire. The shop which was owned by my grandfather was frequented by members of the local cycle club including Bill Bradley, twice winner of the tour of Britain cycle race. He equipped the frame with all the then best parts as a demonstration bike (& for his own use - he was 5’ 4” tall and hence the 21” frame size). The frame remained in the family and was used by three generations, but has been in storage for thirty years and is now looking for a new home with someone who will restore and appreciate this quality frame. All the original equipment has been replaced over the years and now just the frame remains but a Brooks leather saddle of the same vintage is included.
