O.k so I posted about replacement groupsets for my 96 21" Backtrax but
the truth is its too big for me to ride safely/comfortably, so i'm looking to replace it with something similar in chuckability feel but a size down.

Would look at frame/forks but need canti levers and switchers too though i do have some sachs wavys coming i ordered off the bay last night.

So any suggestions offers would be appreciated
Cheers.

Got a Saracen 18/19 in...unsure of model..but may be a traverse..C 1994/5.

In fair to good condition...no forks...but free if you collect. ( Wilts )

Could most like furnish you with some period shifters etc...( for a small fee )

Hi ya

if its for commuting, i have a 92 Marin Sausalito tange steel frame, virtually complete , requires saddle, front canti brake and tubes, has new seat post new tyres, all in very good order 700c wheels, 18 or 19 inch frame, headset needs looking at as very stiff, and the front wheel has while straight and true has a degree of wear,
CX 400 groupset, all in very good order, oh needs a chain too,

so retro and a commuter. what more do you want

Would a GT Zaskar be of any use? in 18"?

I don't know I'm 5'10" and have a 30" inside leg so that says 17" frame theoretically. What I know is that 21" ctt is too big. As to Zaskars i have zero experience with them so...?

im the same height as you with littler legs and long arms, i have various size frames all that fit 16,17 18 inch modern, and 19 inch Cindy.
The sausalito fits me oh and it 18inch
im currently building an 18 Zaskar, frame is quite big but not too much so, shorter stem and lower the saddle and you will be laughing,

18" should be ok, for 5'10 to 6'4, depending on your limbs..

I'm 6'2 and have long legs and arms, so I always run a long stem, on a short frame..

I have the option of a shorter stem for you too,

pm for pics if interested... 8)
