1" steerer fork for orange C16R

Building up an Orange C16R, but having terrible trouble finding forks.

Frame is in great nick for its age, no rust at all. Has been stored by somebody for a few decades.

Has 1" steerer and braze-on seatpost clamp, so it's probably made around 1994-ish.

Am looking for any sort of decent lightweight fork, either suspended or rigid, the ideal being rigid cromoly forks with a disk caliper. I would be OK with running V brakes on the front, but would prefer disks.

Have also considered getting any of the pace forks and swapping the steerer tube, but that's a relatively expensive way to go.

Please note I intend to ride this, so not looking for museum-grade minty parts, I do not mind a few scratches & dents, since it'll definitely have them after a few years of riding, and this one will become my daily trainer / transport.

Anybody got a 1" steerer fork they'd like to liquidate?

Re:

See my for sale ad, yesterday, 4.09 pm. £10 posted for some forks to see you through until better ones come along.

Re:

I've got a pair of what I'm pretty sure are clockwork forks in bare steel ready for a repaint. 1" steerer.

Figured I'd post the whole build & let people advise on the general missing bits.

OK so the options are various, with the missing bits highlighted like [this]:

Back Wheel:

V brake option:
XT uniglide w/7 speed dura ace cassette and [? mech/shifter]
XT parallel V brake

Disk option:
Hope C2 Trunnion mount caliper on V brake boss
Shortened-axle 5 bolt Hope Sport trunnion mount rear wheel w/ XT 9spd cassette + [? (+XT/XTR) mech/shifter]

Front Wheel:

[? Fork] < currently thinking PM'd offer of Pace RC35 is nae bad.
[? Stem]
[?bars]
Hope C2 IS mount
Hope Sport 5 bolt release wheel

Pedal Bit:

NOS Shimano XTR octalink BB
XT octalink cranks w/ XTR 40T single ring + [? chainguide].
[Have various pedals, although they're all too heavy for my liking, but have destroyed all the lightweight ones.]

Drop me a line for your Hope needs. Chances are ill have the bits.

Ive a couple of new C2 calipers im selling. might be of some use. :? Either way ive plenty of experience sorting non disc to disc with Hope.

have a pair of kona project 2's, v brake only, powder coated white off an Orange clockwork (still have orange stickers on) in excellent nick, say £40 posted

Re-bumping!

Please accept my apologies most considerably for my temporary disappearance mid-query... umm... what can I say. Was abducted by a few crises... amongst other things moving into what turned out to be very much the wrong flat, discovering the landlady was a psycho who'd turn up at any hour of the day every day without even calling first... to yell at me about her OCD / cancer scare... so had to go through legal wranglings & then having to move out at very high speed, all at the same time as dealing with a really serious design & build of a central london art gallery.

Which somewhat put an ugly hole in my finances and availability to think about what I'm riding, so just kept pedalling what I've got on the road right now, at some speed (avoiding buses).

However, I can now get back to this british steel project.
