I bought my dream 90s bike in about 2009, fettled it up with a mixture of period and near-period parts. 15 years later and I'm finally resigned to it not being big enough for me; I'm not shrinking and it refuses to grow! I have a modern Surly Krampus that fits me and rides amazingly. The Klein is beautiful but I'm never going to ride it.
I'm pretty sure it's a 1997, but very happy to be corrected by those better informed. Also pretty sure it's a Large/19"; Seat Tube (centre to centre) 480mm, ETT 610mm. I'm 6'4" with long legs - this would suit someone around 6'0' I think.
The frame is in good shape. No major damage, there’s a couple of chips and cable rub here and there and some chainsuck, but it looks great and comes up lovely in the sun when clean. I used it yesterday to convince myself I don't want it any more and it rides fine as is.

- 1997 Marzocchi Bomber Z2 BAM - excellent condition, serviced within the last few years with heavier springs. Some decal wear but altogether in great shape. Really long steerer tube.
- Kore Litestem 3
- Syncros riser bars (I think I have brace for them which will come with the bike)
- XTR M950 V-brakes and levers (good condition, no obvious wear or linkage play)
- LX ‘Mega 9’ shifters
- FSA Conix headset
- Thomson Elite seat post (came with the bike I think)
- Weirdly comfortable Selle Italia saddle
- Raceface Turbine ISIS chainset and bottom bracket (with one Middleburn chainring, I forget which)
- Deore front mech
- DMR V12 Pedals (very ratty)
- LX rear mech with an Avid Rollamajig
- Unknown cassette - probably LX
- Hope hubs circa 2002 - can’t remember the model
- Mavic 519 rims
- Tioga Factory XC semi slicks
