My retro mojo is back and i've some special builds in the pipeline for the coming months so i've decided to do something different and have a clear out With some of the projects probably meaning i have to sell a kidney i need to get some funds into the retro piggy bank.
These will just be quick builds but i thought i'd show the process before they go bye byes out the collection and off to the for sale section.
First up let's have some fun with this 18" 1990 Kona Lavadome which i'm never gonna use if i'm honest.
I've pretty much got the parts sorted so should be quick as long as i don't get retro ocd

Changed my mind with red after i put the yellow on because it dawned on me it would look like an 89 Cindercone so went with blue instead. Just need to let it dry before getting some clear coat on it,back in a bit.

It's dry enough to get it out in the light to have a look how it turned out, considering its the first time i've really splatted a full bike i'm well chuffed

Got the headset in and had to put some parts on it to get an idea how it looks.
Love the way the forks turned out, i'd thinned the blue down a little bit and it flew off the toothbrush in a big splat
Splatting bikes is great i recommend everyone should have a go at some point it's lots of fun

Apart from swapping out the bars i've pretty much settled for the parts to get it up and running.
So far so good,see what tomorrow brings
