Parts wise going with mostly Deore DX just need to sort the DX cantilevers out and it's ready for the chain and cables hopefully i can get out for a maiden ride today.

Interesting to see a non-splatter Kona from that time period get the splatter treatment. My first 'proper' MTB after a Raleigh Maverick was this generation Lavadome. It would originally have had a Suntour X1 groupset with Kona finishing kit.

It's now finished and i'm over the moon with how it's ended up looking,it's been a really enjoyable build to do. I had some black DX low profile cantilevers lying around so they went on to and removed the GT logo off the seatpost.
I've had it for a quick spin to make sure things are running nicely later on i might take it on a longer run to test things out more.
It's something i've had in my mind for ages about doing with the 90 Lavadome because for some reason they only splatted the yellow one and not the red or white ones.

Altogether happy with the parts on the bike it's a nice mix of DX, Deore LX and Mountain LX only bummer bit is theres two ding dings on the non drive side top tube but there not bad really the one in the O you can hardly see it, adds to the patina
