Wanted 1 inch Shimano Crown Race

As above. Not sure if these are interchangeable?

I need a crown race for a set of forks to go into a bastard mix of an STX and an LX headset. Hoping Shimano crown races for threaded headsets are interchangeable...

Thanks - that'd make it too easy lol, I have no idea - was hoping there was a "standard" shimano fitment.

How different can 1 inch crown races be...? (he says!)

Thought I had more 1”, got a few 1 1/8” so this one is all I have in the smaller size.

Hmmm, I'm not sure that's going to be the right profile as it is quite pronounced. I'll do some googling...

Problem you’ll have is some Shimano headsets were cartridge bearing and some were caged ball bearings, so will need different races.
I think all cartridge races were the same at least.

Good info... thanks. This is looking harder than I thought it might be. The STX bottom cup bearings look to be caged. I have bits of an LX that I'm using too. I need to go back through everything and work out what I have and haven't got.

Throw in that the fork crown race seat is 2 sizes with 1":
26.4 and 27.0
And the stack of the crown race varies massively.
Adjacent shimano models in the same year might be swappable, but iirc stx had a sort of cartridge style ballrace, whereas lx had loose balls - in which case the parts will not be interchangeable at all

Thanks @bikeworkshop - the STX I have are caged. Thinking that cobbling something together might be a bit of a stretch - I just need to get it rideable to sell, so a trip to ebay may be in order…
