1 and 1/4 inch problems

Hi looking to get my hands on 1 1/4 inch headset spacers but no one seems to sell these any ideas other than chop the steerer tube? :?

there's a place in the States that does them for Tandems, I'll see if I can find the link. Wasn't going to be cheap though when I looked into it.
