    I landed a Dirt Shark

The few bits I was waiting for are in place now. The Spinner fork was faux fillet brazed and sprayed to have similar effect as the frame and cockpit. I think the first fork I did turned out better but it does the job and appears close to original. I used Deer Head canti's, levers, shifters, rear...

    I landed a Dirt Shark

Minor update. I swapped the tires from the Schwalbe Kojaks to a set of Vee Crown Gem 2.25" and plenty of clearance. Also installed some Deer Head canti's but I have not adjusted yet due to not having the correct fork, still waiting for the threaded one to get here. I still have no clue what year...

    I landed a Dirt Shark

My second attempt at fake fillet brazing. The next one will be spot on.

    I landed a Dirt Shark

So this is my first attempt on matching paint on the fork. I found a color that's really close and will look darker once the clear is applied. I tore strips of tape to achieve the look of ragged edges and body filler on the welds to faux the brazing. This is not the fork that will be on the...

    I landed a Dirt Shark

My plans now are to use what I can from the bike as I got it and to add more period correct parts that I dig out of my bins. The fork problem is huge since I do not know what fork was used originally so I can only go off of pics I find on the internet, seems a Sunlite looks closest to what I've...

    I landed a Dirt Shark

I was looking for a dirt jumper for one of my sons and put dirt in the search on CL and a surprise for me, this showed up and nobody had made an offer to the seller. I ended up with it and only drove 15 miles to collect. I have stripped it down to the frame, like we all do with a new bike, so...

    Fillet brazed Novara Ponderosa USA

This one is about 80 miles away from me. Almost too far to go for a $200 bike but anyone near Sacramento should snap it up. https://sacramento.craigslist.org/bik/d/citrus-heights-navara-mountain-bike/7824826346.html

    Fillet brazed Novara Ponderosa USA

Those were designed by Scot Nicol, Ibis. I think he did all of the REI frame designs for a bit.

    Show us your BREEZER

Here is a different Breezer, American Breezer that is. I foolishly sold it about 2 years ago after hoarding it for about 15 years. Completely original less the tires which were NOS Ground Controls. The frame and stem are anodized, not polished aluminum.

Wanted Yeti Ultimate Frame - Ritchey Filled Brazed Frame.

Here is a Yeti I sold, 1991 vintage. Got my asking price of $3000 4 years ago. Gotta be worth a bit more now...

Wanted Yeti Ultimate Frame - Ritchey Filled Brazed Frame.

I see the post is deleted, did you snap it up? I would have jumped on it as I have a P21 not fillet brazed but to each their own. Damn good price for a bike built by the Man.

1993 Univega Uno in money paint

The bike is all done now, although tiny. I kept with the flow of the lower end Shimano group and some cheapie Amazon tires.

    Wanted GT / Hadley freehub

Not 100% sure, but I think this is the one I used after finding out my GT Hadley was cracked. Be sure to check the bore diameter of the one you are replacing to ensure the right size for axle...

Wanted Cook bros racing dog bone quill stem

Some Ross bikes in mid 80's have a similar stem as a Cooks but not quite as nice and a bit on the heavy side. Might be an option until the right stem comes along and will be a ton cheaper I would expect.

Wanted Yeti Ultimate Frame - Ritchey Filled Brazed Frame.

There is a 1992 P23 at the Marin Museum of Bicycling for sale, maybe hit them up to see if they might ship. https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/bik/d/fairfax-wow-very-nice-1992-ritchey-mtb/7825405129.html

    Eight thousand up! Cinelli Ottomilainsu

That is a very nice bike and loving that stem. The only thing Cinelli I have is this cool stem on an MB4 I recently picked up.

    Show us your Voodoo

Voodoo's are popular around SF Bay Area so if one pops up I will usually try to buy it. This one I don't think I did a post for, checked my history. It's a 96 I think and has been passed on to a new owner as of a few months ago. Came to me almost as like the picture, cleaned, lubed and new...

1993 Univega Uno in money paint

Made a bit of headway on the build today. Wheels are cleaned up although the tires and tubes were shot. Dialed in the brakes, new look alike seatpost installed along with that fat arse saddle, new BB in place and crankset on. Waiting on a response for a set of shifters/levers selling on eBay and...

1993 Univega Uno in money paint

This one caught my eye even though it was covered in grime and spider webs. Was bargain basement price at $40 and is a complete bike which has all of the components for that year. Only the tires and possibly the saddle are not original to the the specs. The seat post is toast so I do have a...

    Show us your Univega

Just starting this Uno. Is a complete bike that sat in a shed for many years so it was covered in dust and spider webs, yuck. I think it's a 1993 based on the original parts that are/were on the bike so likely will upgrade to Deore where I can. Currently has Alivio and Altus components which are...
