    Raleigh M-Trax 7000R

Re: This one rides well too although it is a bit too large for me. The gear ratios are lung-breaking so I have since put a 28/12 cassette on it.

    Raleigh M-Trax 7000R

I have this 1995 (I think) model but can find no information or brochure describing the original components. Does anyone? Spec is:- 60cm frame ‘Handbuilt 531’ number F2512, Sugino 175 alloy cranks (93), chainrings 52/42. Shimano Hyperglide 7 speed cassette 23/13, Air Line 3 rims 700x19 with...

    rudge whitworth frame numbers

Did you find your date? Just got an un-badged Rudge with similar frame number format - 67624R on seat tube and 411248Z on bottom bracket. Hub is a four speed 1973 so is no help. Did you ever successfully date yours?

    Bianchi Gold Race 600

Got this Bianchi with parts missing and wheels and hubs that are not right. It has Campag Veloce derailleurs and Centaur 10/3 speed shifters. Anyone got the original specs? Would like to make it as original as possible. Think it is early 2000's.

    Can you identify this frame?

Re: Can't see a seam inside the seat tube which has an plastic insert to make a 25.4mm seatpost fit. There are two numbers on the bottom bracket and the fork tube, 320 & 461. Bob Jackson suggest that these are respray numbers. The Bob Jackson decals are the right design but the white...

    Can you identify this frame?

Decals are Bob Jackson but factory says not. Looks like Reynolds 501 to me.

    Halfords Gemini 22

OK, not a classic but unusual being a well-made Halfords. It is pretty sturdy and has some components made in England. Halfords don't have any info on it (well the company has changed hands a lot). I'm guessing it is early 80's - anybody know anything about it?

    Crusader bikes

Re: Crusader Thanks guys, not for me, it was given to me to send on to Re-Cycle who send them to Africa. I give them a service and send them on. I was looking for info on the crankset as I needed it off to lube the bottom bracket as it was stiff. The cranks were bolted on to a square tapered...

    Crusader bikes

Anyone know who Crusader were? I am restoring a ladies Crusader California mtb and can't find anything about them. It does have some unusual components, Schurmann alloy rims and SPS crankset, which to me makes it different to other importers. It is from 1997.

    Pannonia

I have just finished restoring a Pannonia bike which will now go to Bikes for Africa. I have tried to find information on the manufacturer and all I have found is that they were Hungarian and primarily motor cycle makers and used the brand name Csepel. The bike is a single speed 21" ladies model...

    1984 Raleigh Sirocco 12

Not looking for a current selling price but would like to know what it retailed for in 1984. I know what you mean about not getting your money back but that's really not why I do it . Thanks anyway.

    1984 Raleigh Sirocco 12

I have recently restored a 1984 Raleigh Sirocco 12 which, apart from the saddle, is as per a brochure I have. I now need a retail price for it. I am guessing around £300. Anybody got a clue?

    Falcon late 80's

Bought a Falcon Phantom as a classic to fix up thinking it was similar to an Ernie Clements design I had in the 70’s. Turns out it is a late eighties cheap mass produced bike made by the Tandem Group in Brigg. Lots of Taiwan components, bars are Italian, wheels Rigida of France, pedals & hubs...

    Olmo Giro

Aquired this beautiful Olmo Giro about three years ago. It had not been used for a few years but after a bit of TLC and a new bottom bracket bearing it rides like a dream. Am now wanting to repair the paintwork and have contacted the factory for information (frame number is199908C) but they do...
