Can you identify this frame?

Decals are Bob Jackson but factory says not. Looks like Reynolds 501 to me.

Not sure, looks like an old frame with new forks and altered with cabling and under BB cables. Or its a more modern frame.

Nothing rings a bell with me.

The cutout in the seat lug is the only distinctive feature but I can't say that I recognise it. Looks a nice frame whatever.

Is it the seatpost diameter or something that makes it seem like 501? With those lugs I would think it pre-dates 501 so more likely to be 531 but everything else like the brazed-on front mech etc. looks pretty much 80s/90s. Perhaps it's a one-off build with Nervex lugs?

Any frame numbers?

Can't see a seam inside the seat tube which has an plastic insert to make a 25.4mm seatpost fit.

There are two numbers on the bottom bracket and the fork tube, 320 & 461. Bob Jackson suggest that these are respray numbers.

The Bob Jackson decals are the right design but the white lettering has a black edge to it, not like the ones the factory used on my genuine 1980 frame, so maybe H Lloyd

I'm thinking 501 as the whole bike weighs 11kg, the same as my 1984 Raleigh Sirocco which is 501.

The components are all dated in the 80's, the oldest being the Huracan saddle which is 1987.

It is a nice ride.

Have seen a Holdsworth cyclone and Freddie Grubb with similar forks and lugs but rear stays to seat post are different.
See if there any numbers on the fork steer tube that could be a clue?

It's the long rear dropouts with mudguard eyes that make it seem old. The fork crown is modern for a steel frame complete with recessed Allen key for the brake, as has the rear

It's either a modern frame made with old components or more likely a 60's frame with a complete makeover with new forks.

The seat bolt looks like a non threaded jobby with a slot to take a nut and bolt...very 60-70's. The rim is still present on the top of the head lug which was usually removed BITD, maybe a modern builder didn't know this or BITD cheaper frames kept them as it cost money to file them away.

The gear lever bosses are high up which is modern as they were lower down the tube back in my day.

I too think it's an older frame which has had a make-over and it has modern forks. I don't think I've seen any modern bike made with Nervex lugs.

The forks look pretty 1990s going by the general shape and where the bend is. Those Bob Jackson decals are 1990s or newer and that's a typical 1990s style paint job! I think the brazed-on components have been added on later. It might not be one of their bikes originally, but are you sure Bob Jackson didn't do the make-over? It's their kind of colours, too :D
