What year is this Kilauea ?

100% 2001, same as mine before I repainted it and gave it new decals. I spoke with someone at Kona the time I bought it and he confirmed that the steel Kilauea's in 2001 were a bit of a stop gap as they were not selling any "high end" steel frames by then, with the everything moving over to alu

    retro bike ... non-retro helmet

Nothing really.... did you have life insurance when they were growing up? OK, so I'm not being obtuse, even tho it sounds it... I too never wore a helmet when I was a kid, also did my share of London riding in the 90s and never saw the point or need, and that I could navigate my way out of...

Not that I was sold on it personally, but I am still waiting for these Sunlit Uplands that it was being sold on, to materialise 🤬

1994 Kona Fire Mountain 700c conversion

I just wish my mate would have let me do this for him, rather than spunking a grand on a new "gravel bike" - whatever that is

    Happy new year my Arse.

Re: Re: Ditto 3 We lost mum suddenly late in 2019 and she had been dad's defacto carer as his Alzheimer's worsened over the past 4-5years. That left me and my 2brothers (2 of us live 3hrs and 5hrs away, which makes it harder) to deal with a cantankerous, belligerent, stubborn old refusenik who...

Collection and Onward Post Assistance - Bristol to Manc

Greetings all, I have found what I think is the perfect child seat for the wifes Pashley, but the seller (in Bristol) is either suggesting Hermes (ahem, no thankyou   ) or local collection. For beer and cake tokens, would someone be kind enough to be able to collect from Coalpit...

    Learning to do tricks

Re: If you are looking to learn that sort of thing, I think you would ideally be better off with a specific jump frame... a small xc designed frame is going to be longer in the rear end, making learning the art of balance and getting the bike moving around, that much harder (and less fun)...
