Keeping it authentic means keeping it the way she rode it. She was the 1995 British Champion on this bike so, with respect, it made no difference to her performance ergo it is what it is. I’m pretty sure Reg (who is plying his trade in Les Gets right now) got it wrong.

Many thanks indeed. The lord knows I have tried this but the large ring doesn’t seem to go under the crank arm as stud/guide (?) collides with it. 👍 Besides, this is Caz’s ring on Caz’s crank and it appears she rode it this way so I’m not going to change it. I hope that makes sense.
