    Barracuda Bronx

alas this is after barracuda got sold. the frame isn't as good as it looks, it's geometry was all wrong for what it was trying to be. by this point you'd find them sold in sports direct or similar. not a completely hateful thing but not for me.

What length riser stem do I need?

I put a set of these on my FiL Thorn before he transferred to his E-bike. he loved them and they kept him riding for decent chunk of time without the aid of a battery. they are still on there in fact and he's been out a bit on the old girl recently. I suspect what I need to do is build him...

What length riser stem do I need?

I'd slap an adjustable on there for a month, play around with it till it suits then bin (or sell, or donate to a worthy corse, or put it in the parts bin) it and buy the equivalent fixed stem. this obviously only gets you over the raise bit, but stem length I'd be looking at 90mm or the shortest...

    2008 Giant Halfway (folding bike)

Don't suspect that it won't all be a ruse to get you north of the border @bikeworkshop. Once there you'll be trapped in a sporran by an anger weeeegie waving a spurtle in your face. I've seen it happen, it's not pretty, especially if he hasn't washed his spurtle.

or paint the recess, let dry then use 3000 grit to remove the paint from the surrounding area and polish the original paint back to normal. not Suntour cranks, SR Suntour. they aren't crap manufacturers as such, they have a lot of reasonably nice mid range stuff (I like their top end forks)...

Is this real? Old Lucas lamp?

See what you mean now, thanks. yes, very old bit of tech, think vintage rather than retro. they aren't all that common and I don't think they were back then. Not much in the way of light is cast by them and it was a pretty short overlap between bicycle for the masses and electricity (20 years...

Titanium…always been in love with this metal but did you know this ?

...have been tempered correctly) are in the 60/70 range. Titanium is below 50, some are even below 40. no it won't blunt your knife. still don't want one though, because titanium is radioactive*. *this is a joke, although it was said that the large surplus of Russian Titanium was radioactive.

Hey just found this wrecked GT with odyssey parts, can I save it......? Looks early 2000!

acetic acid is what you want. it's made in vinegar and it's what gives it it's smell and taste. cheaper stuff tends to have a higher concentration of it because it's been distilled quicker and watered down.

7 and 8 speed clutch rear mechs!

I've been watching them with interest as I'd like a clutched rear on the gravel 🤢bike. I think they are all one to one pull though so won't really work with Shimano road levers :(.
