Today's Ride

Pedersen SE 2000, though I noticed on the packaging they were made by Tektro industries. They have the helical sleeves that pull the pad in to the rim. The spring is in the cable hanger. Nifty design!

I enjoyed my sunset ride yesterday so much I tried it again with a spot of off road this time. Today I said goodbye to my 2020 Cube Disc braked road bike. It was good but just a bit anodyne and I sold it for the same price I'd paid for it a year ago, so lots of fun for free!
The buyer dropped by at 8.30 to pick it up so after that I had plenty of time to finish the M.Steel tourer...did I mention the frame was built by Dave Yates. :D
It is now complete and the brake judder fixed thanks to some words of wisdom from GIGFY, thanks mate!

I think I like it!. Thanks Dave, I wonder how many bikes he built in his time and how many are still being used.

That's a lovely looking bike!!

I've just got back from the Peaks.. there are a lot more tourists out today, a sign it's the school holidays.

Good and bad experience today.. the bad part was, i had an argument with a National Park (he was more of a National Socialist tbh) Ranger about whether or not i should be riding where i was riding.. a fat rambler joined in taking his side.. i showed them on my phone that i was indeed right.. they said, "ah, but that's the internet.. it was probably written by a spotty teenager".. (what?) well that's where you're wrong, i can tell you who wrote it.. it was Derbyshire County Council 😁

F'kin little Hitlers!

The good part was.. i was so annoyed, i pedaled faster to get the annoyance out of my system and did a PB for the route..
