I rode through the Longshaw Estate

..and up to White Edge

..and the skies always had little fluffy clouds..

.. i rode the entire length of White Edge

..up to the trig point

..and back, down through Blacka Moor and joined the Devils Elbow trail, nailing it through here on the fast section

..i was barged out of the way by a herd of cows

Well, I totally lied. In the words of Edwyn Collins "I can't help myself". Thought I'd sneak a ride in between showers this evening. And I nearly did. It was all going swimmingly until I actually thought I might have to start swimming.

For @Imlach there is a cross up on the Downs to commemorate John Harvey the founder of our biggest local brewery - Harvey's.

I cant believe how great this bike is, I dont think bikes have actually improved in any big way since this point, the gearshift is perfect, 3x9, none of this 1x11 and hydraulic disc nonsense love it. Oh and the paint is a kind of fab metalic too.

Another theft of someone elses route, bit slower trying to keep it in zone 2. Nice loop from the coast into the old mining towns again, Sacriston Lanchester etc. Hill climb pr of 711ft over 4 or so miles, series of short punchy ones straight into a headwind, nice prep for attempting Crawleyside in the coming days which will be 944ft over 3ish miles or so. Also went down Peth Bank this time instead of up; 20%, blind corners and rim brakes

I tend to get out more during the week these days as there is so much going on around the house or with my current project(s) weekends go by in a flash. Especially with the wet weekend like the last one. So Monday comes around and I get dumped with a large last minute work project, I'll go out for a ride to think about it!!

This one is almost (almost!) perfectly tuned for me now - couple of tweaks required

I saw this shot as I rode...and then rode back to get it...

13km 20C no wind... going to get warmer this week too!

Beautiful day for a potter, doing a loop that goes out above the Long Man and comes back below him, and taking in some of Sussex's vineyards.
Just me, the Castellano, some vocal horses and a few fluffy clouds.
