Yesterdays after-work blast. Went the opposite direction to check how overgrown the trails around Bartinney were. Answer, not to bad apart from the odd patch of dense bracken.

For a place called the Downs it sure seems to go up a lot. This Dane does not approve of either the hills or the sarcasm! That being said, beautiful place and looks a great ride. Also that pink bike won't ever not get a like.

30 mile spin out to Lichfield on my bargain Dawes Galaxy (first proper ride)
We've had a series of torrential downpours here today so riding has been restricted to a couple of short shakedowns of my new "flambouyancy aid" wheels on the Chickens and the 450g-lighter fork on the Castellano, including hand-fabricated artisan hose guide.
The storm clouds are gathering again, though tomorrow promises sunlit uplands UP on the DOWNS @Imlach

On lightly toasted sourdough
..and headed out around 12.30, rode through Burbage and dropped down into Padley Gorge
I was trying to find a trail through the woods.. to Grindleford via Nether Padley..
..it was beautiful
..alas, the it was more of a push and carry than a ride so i bagged it off..
