Suggestions to stop brake cable ping (not zip ties)

I use these. They work a treat. I put one on the top tube (also prevents damage from the handlebars swinging round) and one on the chainstay.
They are neoprene with velcro strips. Fully removable.

Do you have kids, in particular a daughter?

I've stolen a bit of things from her kit to build braclets...

I've changed it later again, and won't do it at ah Hei Hei, but just to list other ideas here ;).

A more serious advice would be to check brakes and cable routing in general if there is any chance to improve the tension?
Just from your picture it looks to me that there is very little tension or something isn't right, as this doesn't look tight at all.

Maybe you shouldn't use a closed or complete outer tube, but have cable stops on both sides of the top tube and use a tight cable in between just protected with an inner tube liner?
