Suggestions to stop brake cable ping (not zip ties)

Can anyone suggest a solution to stop my top tub routed brake cable pinging against my frame constantly.

I drives me nuts when I am riding (sound of it).

I don’t want to use zip ties as they look ugly and will ruin the clean looks. Would some clear frame protector tape reduce the noise or perhaps a small round clear dome shaped pad (strategically placed). I have the same issue on my 96 Kula as both bikes have the brake outer cable routed along the top tube between two brake stops.

I want the solution to be largely invisible

Thanks in advance

If it was bare cable there were little rubber discs that you could slide on back on the day.

Maybe something bigger than that but a tight fit. Maybe search rubber o-rings that are a tight fit (0.6mm?) and slide them on?

Only trouble with that is I’d have to disconnect the cable from the disc brake calliper (which could result in needing to bled it, which I absolutely do not want to do).

Thanks

Clear "o" rings - although you'll need to detatch the hose if its hydro.

There are also black self- adhesive cable guides if you want to keep the cable run straight.
Are they like the ones you get on disc frames that allow you to run a zip tie through (and then cut the zip tie).

I wouldn’t mind those, I just don’t want an unsightly cable tie wrapped all the way around my top tube!

So it's not a cable, it's a hose.

If you have a drop of fluid, you can detach the caliper keeping the hose end and caliper junction facing upwards, slip the o rings over the hose end , put an extra drop of fluid on both openings, then rejoin them.
Shouldn't need a bleed.

That's the ones.
I have also seen ones where the hose snapped in, so looks a little tidier.

Yes sorry it’s a hose not a cable 👍🏻

Those self adhesive cable guides sound like a good start to me!
