Graham Weigh -age uncertain

I was given this frame free many months ago and it sat in the shed over winter waiting for better weather for me to start tinkering .
I thought i had enough parts in my spares bin to make a full build but the shifters i had turned out to have issues as the rh shifter jammed after a few goes and then something snapped inside meaning it was toast ( the perils of second hand bits cavaet emptor ) so i scoured around and picked up a nearly new claris groupset for £40 which meant the build could go ahead.
Everything else excluding cables was from the spares bin so i reckon im into this for £50 tops and once i got my head around canti set up as i have never before had a bike with them it was good to go.
I do need to get some more frame stickers as yellow was all i had in stock ........................
Faster and lighter than my usual commuter bike so debating whether to make this my summer commuter :)
Since the photo i have changed to narrower bars as the 42s i had are a bit wide and fitted a longer stem

nice build, Graham Weigh still going on Deeside btw and they kept a log of all the framesets so they can tell you when this one originated. Claris parts don't last long btw - but are very affordable, plus shifters are still 8 speed so very handy for retro builds. fwiw most claris parts are interchangeable with tiagra if something breaks and even 105 and up, so you can always upgrade individual items as things wear out. I have kept my GW CX bike going that way too, I did eschew the decals as Weigh seemed to always pick very awkward typefaces and they were always too ugly for me but its an individual taste thing. I guess if he had been called something italian-sounding then one of us would mind ;-)
