Today's Ride

Whilst the body is knackered from helping clear some orchards yesterday down in Penberth, this morning the mind still said "get out there" and I'm glad I did (this weather can't last forever).

Chilled 6 degrees quickly rising to 8 or 9. Very light ENE breeze 5-6mph. Hazy high cloud but loads of blue skies and white sun. A little bit of dew.

Not many photos today, too busy enjoying the cycling. Nice and still, bit of sun and about 19 degrees, perfect. About 30 miles of mainly cross country again. Not far from Grantham which is not a pretty place, the countryside around it though is really nice. Picked up a few bits of the Viking Way.

Nice to see the Mondy with no mudguards! Similar ethos (less pictures) and distance for me today too, 31 miles bang on. Tackled one of the A roads round here which was a speedy experience, thought I had really good form/felt pretty fresh today. Didn't realize I was getting a pretty good tailwind till I hit the u turn point and it turned into an almost hour long headwind with a max of 34mph! So bad had to stop off for a drink albeit a 2% drink but still had 7 miles till home 😂

Yep looks a lot nicer without. It’s nice to be back in summer shoes as well!
