Bottom bracket fitting problems, help needed

So I bought the BSA taps from Webbline and the problem is solved. A couple of tea spoons of gunk came out of the threads, a mix of dirt, rust and the cutting oil. I think these are top value at 50 quid. I could put both sides of the bottom bracket in by hand up until they meet, and the left hand...

    Sold XT 737 groupset

Is this lot still available? I am building up a Trek 950, and the existing STX RC groupset is a bit crap. You are in easy driving distance from me.

Rockhopper FS 1999 build in progress

It still needs some work, but its basically finished. Cost - no idea, but more expensive than planned. I really like the bars, I've never tried risers before, these are Titec Hellbent XC jobs. The saddle is a modern stainless Silverado, which goes with the post. I've put in a CaneCreek shim to...

Bottom bracket fitting problems, help needed

I'm trying to fit a UN55 in a Trek 950 OX II frame, and experiencing the same. I was googling for solutions to this. Sounds like a different bottom bracket is required or getting it tapped is the solution. I can try forcing it in, but the threads on the NDS cup were getting damaged and the...

    2002 ZASKAR TEAM 18lbs

Very nice bike. What's your opinion on these HS33's....it looks like they are the 4 finger variety? I have just fitted some to my son's Rockhopper and I am wondering whether the back of the blade hits your remaining two fingers, if you only use two finger braking. The brakes feel very powerful...

Rockhopper FS 1999 build in progress

I'm building up a Rockhopper from 1999 for my son. Its Ritchey steel, which can't be bad. A 17 inch, 55cm top tube. Hope its not too big, otherwise I will have to ride it! XT 750 waiting to be added, plus a WTB Silverado saddle, LX hubs and 221 rims. Some blue DMR Vault flat pedals, and brakes...

For Sale 97/98 Orange Clockwork Frame, 19", F7 & Pace Forks etc... PRICE DROP

Not that I need a bike, but looking at these, and thinking "they are as big as a gate", how big are these....Orange head tubes were always relatively short, so I guess these are something like 21 inch frames?

    Trek 470 Fast Track makeover

How did you do that with the fork steerer....is that a fork for a bigger frame, which is just chopped down? And the stem looks like it clamped directly onto the steerer? Very nice.
