    Ebay "auction" site

EBay is all about protecting the buyers. I just accept that as part of it. Even when listing an item as ‘for parts or not working’ they protect the buyer. I sold a model railway power supply as such a couple of years ago and the buyer complained that it didn’t work, wanted refund etc. Would not...

    Ebay "auction" site

This was talked about recently, I sell a fair amount on eBay and use BIN with best offer for 99.9% of stuff I sell. The main reasons are; Fees - they often do 80% off weekends. Choice - when you get an offer you can decide whether to sell it to that person or not. One downside is that when doing...

    Project: Shed(s)

In my new garage that is integral to the house I’m trying to keep it as tidy and clean as possible. Before I started moving stuff in I painted most of it white (except for the feature wall). Biggest things since are buying three big filing/stationary cupboards to keep organised and improve light...

    Bike storage/workshop. Your thoughts, experiences

We have one for ‘work’ in a big yard with CCTV and someone almost always there, 24hr security (XPO West Hallam if anyone is interested, £1600 inc vat p/a) to store all our equipment in but it’s also handy for my growing collection of incomplete bikes and assorted junk. Two things to bear in...

I don't get why some people don't get ebikes.

Sounds good - make some crap stuff, talk someone else in to sell it on your behalf and when the muck hits the fan you’re sat on a beach somewhere while the middle man takes all the flack. I definitely must be missing something, perhaps my new diet is to blame.

    Mystery and Unidentified Parts

Found this crank in a box of spare parts and have absolutely no idea what it is. Looks like an astronaut to me, the left arm is a bit scruffier where it’s reacted to moisture or whatever.

I don't get why some people don't get ebikes.

I’m aware of these rights, but what I’m not aware of is the right of the manufacturer to only honour a 2-year warranty and leave the retailer to pick up the pieces.

I don't get why some people don't get ebikes.

But then what does the dealer do?

I don't get why some people don't get ebikes.

How can you expect the retailer to be responsible for your bike repairs for up to 6 years when the manufacturer only gives a 2-year warranty?

Another Xizang - listing laziness at its very best!

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/326160224668?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=2Zb91xVxSMi&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=s6iRXLTORNu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY To put something like this up for sale and not even be bothered to write a decent description, something doesn’t seem quite right.

Stuck BB removal options - *Update* It’s Out!

Well done on freeing it, I don’t like being a smarty pants but that spanner is the wrong way around, if you were pushing down on it and could have slipped off. I’m off now to hide behind my sofa 😆

What can I do with this seat stay bridge?

As said, my preference would be to tidy it up and centralise it but it would make it bigger, or just put a good quality sticker over it, maybe a little plaster?
