How can a frame be prone to chain suck? Surely this is a chainset/chain issue?

Ironically, thumb shifters are the only shifter where your thumb can be irrelevant. This is a real positive in case of injury or arthritis. You can shift with fingers or heel of hand etc. Other benefits are listed above. The very best option for off road touring.

My wife has an X-Lite 18" Ti. These were sold as X-Lite as a frame, and under the Raleigh banner as a full bike. ?1990? XT and Hope, Vee brake frame, now has Rockshox fork with BB7 brake so that both brakes feel the same at the lever. She is away until ?Wednesday? so I can't give a proven...

Just to update........I bought the 2m mono 😗 It is rather good. Certainly sounds better than the 2m Blue for the old mono recordings, and I also use it for some albums that have been 'enhanced' to stereo. They are smoother with the mono cartridge.....

I couldn't get any UK frame builder interested in building me a fat bike, not even if i gave them a frame to copy........nor would anyone alter a steel bike to fit a drive side elevated chainstay. So, I'm surprised that the industry is struggling. I thought they must be doing well to turn away...

Hello you HiFi buffs! I've always had carpet on the floor, but I'm considering switching to laminated hard flooring. What if any are the likely effects on the sound from my system??

Err, 2.6/2.8 to 4.6/4.8 is I think a whole 2" , and you can go 5+....... I have a 2.6 rear/2.8 front 29er wheel set that I use occasionally and I can tell you the difference is massive. If you only ride trail centres then fat doesn't much make sense but can still be fun. Go trad off road...
