Re: FINISHED!!!! So the build is finally finished!!! I still haven't had a chance to ride it yet as I'm in the middle of exams but will hopefully ride lots over summer :D Anyway, the bike has not yet been weighed as I don't have proper scales and the bathroom ones are a little dodgy but it's...

I still haven't finished it sadly, although I have the final parts coming in the post at some point over the next few days so will post another pic when complete. I do have the brakes on though and I must say they are truly awesome and unparalleled by any other brake I've ever used just from...

Re: Ohhh that makes more sense, always nice to make a profit... Oh yeah my spreadsheet has been going for a while now and now has two other tabs for both cross and road builds I'm planning for in the future  I'm aiming for sub 9kg to start with in the hope that I can upgrade stuff...

Yeah that's fair enough... Yeah but there weren't many going around the time I was looking but oh well, the SLXs have amazing reviews anyway Same, slightly annoying really but oh well

Re: Ah yeah that is a problem... You could always ask Fatal Swan how to de-sticker some trigon ones with bosses, although they are £120 I was actually originally going to get Vs as the frame has bosses but the only good newer V wheels I could find were on Merlin and double the price of the...

Here you go Kyle: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Picasia-fork- ... 20ee900a00 P2s were on the cards until I stumbled across the picasias when looking at trigon forks on ebay. I'm looking forward to it, and I think it'll teach me a lot about line choice and skills and stuff, if I don't like it then...

They're also physically identical to the Ritchey and Token ones which apparently used to cost £££ when in production, I'm guessing the likes of trigon and picasia have bought some of the moulds from the factories that produced them or something?

Thanks! I got the Picasia ones in matt and they look stunning, they were £107 which I decided was better than a cheap sus fork for that price. They also weigh 460g on my kitchen scales with an uncut steerer, I just hope they don't disappoint...

Re: Right forget waiting for the ring, excuse the really really crappy webcam pics, but it was easier that way  . I know the geometry is a bit dodgy but I quite like the look of it even if I say so myself. Cables still need cutting but that'll be done in the summer when I have more time...

Re: Hi Fatal Swan Thanks for the reply, the frame is great, thanks :D I have got the carbon fork on now and it looks really stealthy 8) I was originally thinking about getting a trigon one but as mentioned the stickers are ugly and I didn't want to risk sanding... Thanks Kyle, Yeah the group...

Hi guys, this is my first build thread, so please be nice :) About a year ago I bought a Kinesis Maxlight XC frame from Fatal Swan via eBay (It can be seen in its previous drop bar road incarnation here: viewtopic.php?t=155993). Anyway, a little under a year later and I've nearly completed the...

    Best First Retrobike?

I've spent a lot of time kicking myself about this one... I'd love a Dynatech but I'm currently still not allowed another bike  I would raid the emergency stash of cash but I'd have nowhere to put it except in my bedroom, which is already occupied by my current build  lovely...

    Best First Retrobike?

Thanks, looks like I'm in the waiting game now, as previously mentioned it'll be around a year before I can actually consider buying one so I have plenty time to look at my options. eBay isn't cheap but I've seen some nice opportunities come and go over the last few months where the main problem...
