Take it apart, and get the most of it. Unless someone really wants it as a rider, and will give you a decent price. Most parts seem in vgc, so personally I'd opt for 1.

tbf, helicoils are piss easy to install. They even sell them on ALI under "another" coil for pennies.

Drill through and insert a helicoil if you care about the thread. Personally I'd not be bothered by it and do as bikeworkshop said.
