1999 Klein Attitude Race and 2000 Klein Adroit Pro

Today I sanded the lettering off of the Trigon fork and (since there's a second one of them on its way) installed it on the larger Adroit Pro. This was done by using an MC3.1 to inch and an eighth headset adapter kit from David at http://www.themacaddress.com/ which works superbly. With Slime...

1999 Klein Attitude Race and 2000 Klein Adroit Pro

I've only had it for a week, but during that time I've ridden with it on every type of surface that I ever ride on here in Arizona: on the road, including hard sprints, very hard braking, and very fast cornering as well as jumping up and down curbs; on uneven dry and wet grass, and on level...

Next, take an inner cable that's long enough to be able to stick out of the holes at each end of the tube for several inches, hold it so that one end of the cable is lined...

'History of XTR' film on Youtube

That video was a slick, flattering commercial. Of course, if it was really a complete "history" of XTR, it would mention Shimano having made the first versions of XTR cranks with a unique bolt pattern that no other chainring would fit (so you'd have to buy XTR chainrings), and then making those...

Stripping paint of a Polished Alloy frame

When I work on aluminum (or any metal for that matter), I prefer to use 3M Scotch-Brite rather than Steel Wool, which with use turns to fine steel powder which can become impregnated into aluminum and potentially cause rust streaks. Scotch-Brite is made of abrasive-coated plastic fibers.
