Thanks gfk, do you know of any info online? I’ve re-celled a battery before (although not bike related) and can try it even if the new battery is outside the power unit then wired to the voltage-in point. The units dead so nothing to lose in opening it up.

If you’re having trouble with Roadie brifters on an MTB triple, why not try either a road triple shifter/mech/chainset combo (can often get them with a 74mm bcd inner ring), or use chainline spacers to narrow down the gaps? Or even a low ratio double - I’ve built a few bikes with normal road...

I think when the BOI fork came out they started transitioning mainly to that. I’ve never ridden either fork sadly but assume the BOI was softer with the 1” legs than the older Yo with the 1-1/8” legs. I’m guessing your fork has the 1-1/8” legs? Both amazing forks.
