Zaskars had the flat cap on the top tube, more likely this is a Backwoods from about 1997. Decals are similar

This 1930s Carpenter has the same notch in the seat stay cap and also the four digit serial number however by the 1930s Carpenter were up to the 3xxx range in numbering.

Re: Finally got the Moots on the trail after a long delay at the bike shop with the slider installation. I am a "regular" and they give me discounts but most often my repairs get bumped to the back of the line when things get busy. And its not as though I don't have any other bikes… But back...
