I picked up a very nice and smooth running pair of 'used' XCII beartraps as a "contemporary upgrade" for my '84 Muddy Fox rebuild, for a smidgin over £40 last summer. You do see people selling NOS mint ones for triple figures, but there's plenty of them about for more sensible money! A pair...

The same bike (I mean the SAME bike) sold for £103 in June! See Ebay item 381302085775. I was watching it at the £30-£40 mark, with an eye to sticking the original SR pedals on my '84 Muddy Fox. Never mind the price, I'm not sure about the authenticity of some of the other components on...
