For Information. Eventually found that an M4 x 20 bolt fitted perfectly.

Hi Does anybody know what size the bolt is used in the Kona Control Center headset to stop it from moving. Seem to have lost mine when reinstalling :-( I have a bolt from an old Control Center /Impact headset (with the knurled grip) but this is too big for the ne I have. TIA Ken

Thanks Anthony, Got a 30.0 and it works a treat. Contacted the kona forum and asked them to double check and they confirmed 28.6 :-( That really gives me confidence. I know where I'll be asking questions in future. :-) Thanks again Ken

Hi Sorry if asked before -I couldnt find it in a search. I trying to find the correct Seatpost clamp size for a '94 Kilauea. Tech support on the Kona Onwers forum advise 28.6 but this doesn't fit as too small. TIA Ken

Eventually resorted to bending the tension wire and now appear to be working fine. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks for all the help. I'll carry on fiddling and see if I can make the upper locating hole work. Otherwise may resort to bending the spring wire.

I have tried it with the pins in the upper hole. I can get the spring tension but the pad holders are not square on to the rims and there doesn't seem to be enough adjustment with domed washers on the pads to get the pads to make good contact with the rim.
