Re: Omfg, this has just broken t'internet for me! Cheap whore to classy broad transformation! My mum used to read mills and boon, if only I had known! In fact no, I don't want to think about it.

Fitting 'standard' shocks to an STS

Re: Totally agree it would look especially crap on the sts. The fugly one above looks like a simplified and cheaper version of this one.

    Raleigh Titanium dropbar project

Re: Really gorgeous bike, love the shape the stem and bars make from the side on view but I don't think I could live with the stem, I'm presuming it's a make do cos the frame is a little small and you need the height in it?

Fitting 'standard' shocks to an STS

Re: There's an adapter available or knock one up. Shock size choice from 5.5 to 7.5 eye2eye. Only works if your top pivot is behind the seatpost. No go on my LTS 1.

Fitting 'standard' shocks to an STS

Re: Feasible? Yes, anything is feasible with cash and time to throw at it, look at the moon landings or concorde or the Scottish parliament building. Sensible? When has riding 20 year old recycled coke cans down hills ever been sensible? I did see somewhere a guy who made a new lever for the...

Fitting 'standard' shocks to an STS

Nat was able to figure out some new seals, dumped the nitrogen and filled it with 25w oil, was still working fine when I...

Fitting 'standard' shocks to an STS

Re: I love my lts, got a brand new RS superdeluxe when icycles had them about 10 years ago. Wasn't the 97 hard anodized finish but a silver 99 sts one. Rebound now clicks but it still does naff all, treacle or pogo! It's only done about 3 hours cycleway riding since so should be good for a...
