    Recommend me some brakes

I think there are 4 lengths of mini V arm available. I cant remember who makes what, or did make what. A bit of a pain, and not cheap, but it might be possible to get the perfect match of arm and lever as lever ratios do vary.

    Recommend me some brakes

It doesn't look great and is not ideal, but i think if there was an issue then we would know about it. Travel Agents and copies have been around a long time now, and lord knows how many are being used, so if there was a problem then Problem Solvers would be deep in the do-do , by now. I am...

    Merlin MTB frame

@DalryBikeDepot - i could be interested in the Coyote, but i think it is too short. You say the top tube measurement is 54cm between the seat tube and head tube. Do you literally mean between the tubes, or do you mean center to center? Also; what is the head tube length?

    Innovations that weren't...

I am sure this was all blown well out of proportion though, by haters. My understanding was there was an issue, very early on with the aluminium frames, where a small number of frames cracked. Might have been one batch and I think it was a heat treatment post welding, or something not right with...

    Recommend me some brakes

I have a bunch of canti's in boxes and bags that i have used. 2 bikes worth of Frogglegs in blue and black, a set of M900 with an extra front pair, M650's, and a set of Avid Shorty Ultimate and i can honestly say that they were all about the same as each other. All used with the same BXP pads ...

    Innovations that weren't...

I have a Pace rocker somewhere. I can't remember why i got it , but it looks cool and i like the fact that each arm takes a barrel. Maybe that is why i got it and although i have never broken a stainless brake cable the straddle cable wouldn't send me over the bars, if i did. Will i use...

    Does anyone here build wheels?

the good thing about wheels is you can do all sorts of wrong and yet the wheel will not kill you as long as the spokes are taught enough so it doesn't wobble too much, or collapse, immediately. Better built wheels last longer ,before needing some help, but not so well built can last well. I...

GT Zaskar LE - someone has been sniffing glue

My favourite Zaskar is the early example that is local to me. Dude rolls around on it with the saddle too low on what is an already way too small frame for him, wearing great big work boots and hi-viz, and a Tesco express bag hanging off each end of the handlebar. It is as dull as aluminium can...
