I cant believe how great this bike is, I dont think bikes have actually improved in any big way since this point, the gearshift is perfect, 3x9, none of this 1x11 and hydraulic disc nonsense love it. Oh and the paint is a kind of fab metalic too.
I have just bought this lovely Galaxy in as good as new condition, I think its a late one as it has 3X9 transmission and hollowtech deore crankset and Shimano 105 STI shifters I am delighted with it but just wondering roughly what year it is, any ideas
I love this new bike, it must be just about as good as conventional steel framed tourers reached. 9x3 speed shimano 105 shifters, silky smooth changing and super comfortable, I like the bars quite high now, it doesnt look as cool but it means I use the drops, and that spring saddle might look a...
Index front shifting is probably one of the reasons why so many have gone to 1X systems, its just a PITA, but with a good old friction shifter it works just great and easy to set up, it seems ok on the rear but much less reliable on the front
Yea I bet ot will be great, I had forgotten how good friction shifting is, the shifter I have fitted is brilliant, when you go onto a bigger ring you kind of lift it on and then just back off a touch, any rattling then you can just move it a touch, so simple and tactile and much nicer to use
It was making me lazy LOL so I took it all off again :) I will fit the kit to my mates bike he will buy it off me, it was good though, but for me it wasnt cycling, the decider was a 30 mile ride last week and I came back with no battery used, so it was just dead weight
I have fitted a fair few front mechs in my time but have just wasted about 3 hours of my life trying in vein to get my triple chainset to shift properly with a SRAM index thumb shifter, no matter what I tried I couldnt get it to work properly the shift gaps were just not right to allow for...
I will measure it out later, post a load of pics, there just needs to be a circular disc just proud of the carrier strut attached to it, I will post here tonight or tomorrow thanks
