E-bikes, you probably already have your best option in the garage

I have had a couple of E-bikes but so far been unimpressed The reason is that most off the peg E-bikes are so heavy that you are forced to use assistance most of the time, unassisted they are horrible to ride, so it doesnt feel like cycling. Next I bought a fancy Specialized Creo road E-bike and...

The best cycling product I have discovered for years TANNUS ARMOUR !!

I am running 700x40c tyres and they are easy to fit into that width, I have another bike running 700x32c tyres and that was a bit harder to fit but in theory you only need to fit them once in the life of the tyre as a puncture is highly unlikely. In any case, they are not really much hassle...

If you used these and Schwalbes you are invincible, that might be overkill though

The best cycling product I have discovered for years TANNUS ARMOUR !!

You can use a cheaper tyre, Schwalbe Marathons etc are expensive and you bin them when they wear out, and you can still get a puncture, with these, they transfer to a new tyre, plus you can ride them flat too if you did get a puncture (never happened yet)

The best cycling product I have discovered for years TANNUS ARMOUR !!

Not at all, I prefer the ride alot, the bumps are absorbed better and the tyres just feel more planted somehow, I strongly urge you to give them a try, I am 100 percent convinced, I can push drawing pins or nails into my tyres and they stay inflated, I actually cant imagine how you could get a...

Does this qualify as "Retrobike" ? with photo nthis time

As an E-bike it works really well, even with the conversion its not too heavy and rides just like a standard bike unassisted. The other advantage is that it doesnt look too much like an Ebike so is not such a target for thieves. I still feel like a proper cyclist on this, its alot of funnn also...

The best cycling product I have discovered for years TANNUS ARMOUR !!

I ride mostly off road across parks and use the canal towpath network in the great city of Birmingham, just one problem PUNCTURES!!! but no longer, I am now invincible because I have discovered TANNUS ARMOUR, its an insert for the tire that goes around the inner tube (you need to use a narrower...

Well I couldnt resist trying an Ebike conversion on an old Raleigh Pioneer Venture

A couple of notes on the conversion, I swapped the original Canti brakes for some V brakes which are well up to the job, fitted some flat bars (it had drops but the supplied flat bar levers have a cut out switch which cuts the power when braking, works really well). I took the two smaller rings...

Well I couldnt resist trying an Ebike conversion on an old Raleigh Pioneer Venture

Hi, new here, I fancied trying an E-bike conversion so fitted a YOSE POWER kit to my old Raleigh Pioneer Venture and its alot of fun, it rides just like a normal bike but has superpowers (or rather I do now), 13Ah battery, legal 250W motor (they do a 350W option but this is fine), it has an...
