    My bikes.

Claiming " you'll grow into it" should be made illigal and forbidden. I'm living proof that it's a myth. I would have been a lot more comfortable on a 22 1/2. I wouldn't be surprised if the cranks were 175mm either 😄. A potential recipe for disaster. Dispite all these challenges, I battled on😀.

    My bikes.

No i don't have any photos. After about 3-4 years of using it, i got it pulver lackad red😱 and used it as a winter bike. The issue i had with it was it was a size too big for me. I got it when I was 12, about 5ft 7 in old money and the frame was a 23 1/2. It was probably the only one left and...

    My bikes.

My first racing bike was a Raleigh Rapide from 1983. It had those Campagnolo gears and I would like to refer to them as bombproof. That bike was used alot but it didn't get alot of maintainance, as I just a wee lad who didn't know much about the importance of that kind of thing. I've actually...

    1994 Koga-Miyata FullPro-S: the Max-tubing FullPro

Without wishing to come across as a bit of a d**khead, one should take photos of bikes from the drive side, that being the right hand side. The veiwer gets to see more of the bicycles components, some more jewellery, so to speak. Otherwise a great bike. If I ever fell victim to building another...

Raleigh Road Ace Frame and forks

I may be totally wrong but from what i understand, the positioning of the cable guides may have to do with the choice of components put on the frame, i.e. Shimano AX. I've seen other builds on this site where the frames have been specifically built to accomadate Shimano AX/EX gear set ups.Those...

    What Happened to Campagnolo?

That doesn't qualify into the comfort endurance sector of the bicycle industry. I hope you've been working on your upper body strength during the off season, you're going to need all the upper body strength you can muster to ride something like that. 😀

    1953 Holdsworth Whirlwind

I think I saw JPR once in a hospital I was at when he was doing the rounds visiting patients. I think it was either 77 or 78. You don't forget those sideburns in hurry😄.

    1953 Holdsworth Whirlwind

At least one of your parents have a welsh connection, i would think. It's not easy for all to pronounce that name correctly 😀.

    1953 Holdsworth Whirlwind

Is there a welsh connection or do you just like the flag? Fabulous colour in combination with the ornate lugs. What's not to like about it?👍

    Dawes Brighton Dutch bicycle

He hasn't been challenged by a modern plastic Batavus chainguard. They are nearly as intricate as performing heart by-pass surgery. You need a steady hand and a cool head. Real karma killers IMO.

    Dawes Brighton Dutch bicycle

The view i have of them is they are meant to be ridden at a liesurely pace to work, the shops or anywhere that isn't too hilly or too far.

    Dawes Brighton Dutch bicycle

It's not the type of bike that inspires one to "race" around town or down to the shops. They have the sitting geometry alike a 1972 Bedford van and often weigh about 15-20kgs. Intresting curiousa about Bauke Mollema👍. He has won a few prestigious races and now we know why.
