Oodles of Cash • Armee de terre' team sponsored So goes Mario Cipollini • Movie

In keeping with one of the unwritten rules of cycling where a genuine cyclist behaves like a gentleman, I think it would be better to describe him as not being a very nice person. I am also very dissapointed at the way in which he treated his girlfriend.

when will this be considered a Retrobike?

The main reason why i bought it was that I couldn't afford an ALAN Carbonio. I had never seen one before untill it was out on sale here on RB.

when will this be considered a Retrobike?

I have just started to get to know my Giant Cadex 980. It has taken me over 4 years to build it and I don't feel that I am in a hurry to get rid of it. As of date, I am happy with the result. I'm not ready to say i'm in love with it, we've only just started but this could be the beginning of a...

    2003 Bianchi San Remo Tourer

There was was an issue with the pads being too far from the rim and when i put the washers the other way around to change the gap, in combination with shortening the cable, the pads were too close and iirc, the brake cable flexed. I've had my suspicions that it has something to do with the...

    2003 Bianchi San Remo Tourer

Yes correct, the "gubbins" i was refering to, are to adjust the pull ratio. I have built a frankengravel with Ultegra 6500 levers and Deore LX cantis but the braking power hasn't been particularly good. I changed the rears to a brand new set up cantis and changed the straddle wire, suspecting...

    2003 Bianchi San Remo Tourer

What's the braking power like. I think I read somewhere that Campag ergopower levers work very well with cantis without having to add gubbins to the cables. Or am I just fantisizing?

    2003 Bianchi San Remo Tourer

Bianchi is a brand that is a part of the Cycleurope group. The group is owned by the Grimaldi familly. I don't think it has any relevance to which type of bottom bracket thread that's used, but I could be wrong of course.

    Giant Cadex plus dog!

I'm "only" 54 and I also have a Cadex. I've nearly finished building it, so i've yet to go out on Its Maiden voyage. There aren't any cattle grids to worry about here but can you say about Its characteristics? I've put a carbon fork on it. The decals are really eye catching, very period for the...

    My bikes.

Claiming " you'll grow into it" should be made illigal and forbidden. I'm living proof that it's a myth. I would have been a lot more comfortable on a 22 1/2. I wouldn't be surprised if the cranks were 175mm either 😄. A potential recipe for disaster. Dispite all these challenges, I battled on😀.

    My bikes.

No i don't have any photos. After about 3-4 years of using it, i got it pulver lackad red😱 and used it as a winter bike. The issue i had with it was it was a size too big for me. I got it when I was 12, about 5ft 7 in old money and the frame was a 23 1/2. It was probably the only one left and...

    My bikes.

My first racing bike was a Raleigh Rapide from 1983. It had those Campagnolo gears and I would like to refer to them as bombproof. That bike was used alot but it didn't get alot of maintainance, as I just a wee lad who didn't know much about the importance of that kind of thing. I've actually...

    1994 Koga-Miyata FullPro-S: the Max-tubing FullPro

Without wishing to come across as a bit of a d**khead, one should take photos of bikes from the drive side, that being the right hand side. The veiwer gets to see more of the bicycles components, some more jewellery, so to speak. Otherwise a great bike. If I ever fell victim to building another...
