My Alpinestars projects of 3 years ago are ready to be moved on. Will take an offer for the two together.
Thanks
go for the manitous, they have the purple graphic on them unless i am mistaken, which would match your other purple answer theme else the origional manitous would be fitting with the 1991 and grey may complement the bikes graphics. Getting really tarty, have you thought about getting a black...
can yo keep me in the possible selling loop as well as i already have the front mech and headset. I was going to put them on my 92 cro mega frame but this would knock spots off it!
The thing that annoyed me was that i kept dabbing the brake when shifting to the big ring. It was like i struggled to push down so far without pulling in a smidge as well. Didnt really affect speed or anything but just irritated me so I swaped back.
beauty, they are about but non cracked ones are a lot of shattered hopes away. keep looking though - well worth the project. I have been using mine as a commuter for a month or so now and it actually has been recognised a couple of times by passers by. great to breath life back into it.
I second that confusion, I hear the rocker needs to be ballanced in the middle but there seems no way to get both pads to toutch at the same time. Endless tweaking of cables and grub screws appears futile!
I think retros are for looking at or commuting and moderns are for riding. How many of us were disapointed having finished a stunner to realise that forks, gears and brakes have advanced for a reason and make modern bike a lot nicer to ride. certinly dont look as beautiful though!
