    USE suspension forks?

Re: USE don't have any spares. I contacted them a couple of years ago & they had chucked loads of stuff out about two weeks earlier  I've got a spare pair that I could be persuaded to part with. Complete with original titanium brake bosses. All the bolts & fixings were Ti...

    94 saracen kili comp

Re: Very nice. I've just finished building a Kili Flyer of the same vintage. Gil does have the decals on file if you change your mind. For me this is about the pinnacle for Saracen. I know a lot of folks rate the slightly earlier bikes higher, but I've go to say '94 is about s...

    HONC 2018 -Who's in?

Re: Sorry I couldn't make it in the end. I tried to post from my phone, but it wasn't having any of it. We had a family emergency that I couldn't get out of.

    Syncros?? bar ends

Re: We'll find to when they land  I don't have any particular expectations, but for the price, it was worth a punt.

    Syncros?? bar ends

Re: T'is done. For the price, it's got to be worth a go. I've got a pair of Syncros bars that have been cut too short for 'normal' bar ends, so these will do nicely even if they're not original.

Dent free Dave Yates Barn find, with issues (Pg5)

Don't! I'm still changing my mind every five minutes about the Diabolo frame too.

    Pace RC21 STX Adapter

You never stop learning... I always believed that the later cranks went to a 'normal' design & it was just the earlier versions that had the unique mounting system. Didn't realised they'd just flipped it round. I've always thought it was odd that Shimano decided to do this on the STX cranks...

    Pace RC21 STX Adapter

Re: It's finding the Pace adaptors in the first place that's the real issue, hence my reluctance to part with it. If you find you can't get the new granny ring to fit, let me know - I think I may have a couple of original rings knocking about. It should work fine though, the only...

    1987 Muddy Fox Explorer

Re: What a cracking job. 8) My first mountain bike was an '88 Explorer It good to see some decent detail photos of an '87. It's a very different bike to mine, completely different frame & different groupset too. The '88 frame doesn't have the lugs but has fastback seat stays and comes with...

    Pace RC21 STX Adapter

Re: The granny ring is a standard size and is fitted in the normal way, so you should be fine. The middle ring forms the spider for the big ring on the earlier STX cranks and its a unique BCD. I do actually have one of the Pace adapters, but it would probably be cheaper just to buy a new...

    1994 Saracen Kili Flyer

Re: Top tube is just shy of 22.5" and seat tube is 18" c to c. I think it's probably a 19" frame. Those are pretty much exactly the same dimensions as my Zaskar Although the bb is higher and the head tube longer, the zero rise stem means the bars are at the same height. The stem I'm guessing...
