1987 Muddy Fox Explorer

Found this bike locally for $25. I knew it was something special when I saw it in person.
Brought it back alive to riding condition. Aside from a pair of John Tomac designed grips, everything on the bike is stock.

What a cracking job. :cool: My first mountain bike was an '88 Explorer

It good to see some decent detail photos of an '87. It's a very different bike to mine, completely different frame & different groupset too. The '88 frame doesn't have the lugs but has fastback seat stays and comes with a Suntour XCD/Diacompe groupset.
 
Great to see. Lusted after one of these in 87 but ended up with a cheap Raleigh.
