Where to find 7 speed freewheel

Re: Yeah I saw the 14-32 one, it's got a but of a big jump which is why I asked here first, but it seems that it may be the only one available for a low price.

Where to find 7 speed freewheel

Re: Thanks for the offer, but I really need the low gears for climbing, and I can't fit a smaller ring at the front.

Re: Re: Unfortunately that's a cassette and I need a freewheel, although at this point switching wheels is starting to look like a good option.

    7 speed 13-32 or 14-32 freewheel

Looking for a good condition 7 speed freewheel with the above ratios, in progressive steps not a massive jump like the modern mega range ones. Needs to index with Shimano and I would prefer one with hyperglide like teeth (doesn't have to be Shimano tho).

Where to find 7 speed freewheel

I was starting to come to this conclusion myself. Most modern 8 speed ones I could find use a locking tool which is good, although hard to then remove one cog, although I couldn't actually find the tool available for sale. I might ask on the wanted section for a 13-32 Shimano or similar as a...

Where to find 7 speed freewheel

Re: Annoyingly not, on their website the ones they list are either 13/14-28 or 14-34. They do make a 13-32 but it's an 8 speed. It seems that no one likes the humble 32t anymore.

Where to find 7 speed freewheel

Re: 80 dollars for a freewheel! At that rate I'd be better off buying a new IRD one. Perhaps including the sachs bit was unhelpful, I'm looking more for hyperglide style ones not the weird halfway thing sachs did.

Where to find 7 speed freewheel

Posted in the mtb section, but perhaps someone here will know. Looking for a 7 speed freewheel to replace a worn out Sachs 13-32 ARIS one on my tandem. The bike has a Shimano mech though, so that *should* make finding indexing freewheels easy. I'm really struggling to find one that's a 13-32 or...

I'm really struggling to find one that's a 13-32 or 14-32. They all seem to either be 13-28 or have a massive jump...

    Sachs Maillard freewheel spacing wrong.

Re: Hi everyone, thanks for the replies, I checked again about SIS compatibility, and from what I can find ARIS freewheels should be SIS compatible but thanks for making me check. I brought the bike on eBay from its original owner and considering everything else is all original, I doubt they...

    Sachs Maillard freewheel spacing wrong.

Hi everyone, I have just purchased a tandem as some of you know, and in the process of smartening it up, I removed and cleaned the freewheel, and replaced the chain. The issue is that, when in the 3rd biggest (in size) cog, the chain rattles and pings on the next largest cog. The freewheel...

    Tandem buying advice

Re: Update, I won the bid on the Dawes street 2 street. Currently treating it to a service. The drive chain needed replacing but the sync chain still has life in it. I'm wondering how to adjust the suzue hubs on it, because when I took pulled the rear wheel off, I noticed the locknuts were...

    Tandem buying advice

Re: Yeah, it's got Shimano cantis, the later style with the cable that continues into one of the brakes. If I win I I'll see how the brakes are.

Re: That was my thinking too. Plus they said it's done the end to end cycle before, so I know it's suitable.

    Tandem buying advice

Re: Thank you everyone for taking the time to reply. Unfortunately I'm quite a way from Inverness. I forgot to say, I borrowed a tandem from my school (we had a club where we did up bikes for other people, so this one was for a special needs school), which we never finished fixing due to...
