That's the one - Does the frame on the bike from the ad check out for it being an LE ?

Do we even know for sure if this is an actual LE, and not just a regular Zaskar? Most all the repro decals out there on e-Bay say "Zaskar LE", just like the ones on this bike - You could stick 'em on anything.

I would subtract $$ for the ugliness of that stem ...... More $ off - Missing valve cap on rear :eek:

I see traces of bright yellow paint, that makes me think Avalanche, also. Although the seat stay brace is different from my 2000 / 2001.

I've had 2 Joytech hubs apart, one of them a Joytech freehub, both from a somewhat derelict bike that was left out. Both were fine (including the freehub mech), after cleaning and re-greasing, and I used them to build new wheels. So, I guess YMMV.

Probably best not to feed them to the in-laws .......

I think Joytech makes the hubs in Taiwan.

Hmm - When I blow up the photo, I can see what you mean. The first couple threads are bad - Still think it can be saved without divine intervention :)

Those BB threads don't look that bad, just clogged with solidified gunk - Just patiently scrape them out with a dental pick, and a new one will thread right in :)

In the second photo - Is that a deer hunting blind, up on the hill?

If it was left out long enough to seize the fork, and rust the chain like that, I'd want to know about the seat post ........ 🤔

But no flat ?

I'd rather have the Zaskar........... Hmmm, maybe without that stem.......
