I agree on respray but also preserving a frame as much as possible but like moonkeee says matching if not done right looks arwful so i tried to start a thread on matching paints nail varnish felt tips etc which people have found that match perfect but no ones bothered so thats half the reason...

I dont really know but it would be anodising or powder coating if it was me because it black if it was a fancy color you have to do in paint
