Yeah as tempting as it seems, a 16" may leave you a bit cramped in the cockpit. Remember it's an older frame and no front sus so you have to take that into account. Would be a good project tho, on the other hand... kona'a are made to be thrashed!!! Holding out for an 18 may be a good idea...

Never heared of it but certainly sounds very Kona-esque, afterall Niihau is another volcano. I guess... if it's light, the right price and rides well you should go for it. 8)

No not at all.. he was fine with me in our convos, I even suggested he relist with the correct spelling and told him it wasnt the easiest to find. Thought he would get more that way. Think sometimes, ppl jump on the bandwagon and give crappy feedback because they change their mind. easy...

That said... and if the bike was what he stated, I would have had a tidy little project for under £230 u recon?

Depends what you mean by headbanger... lots of threats of violence, sellings of dodgy cars, vans, and one which was still on finance. things that dont arrive. All things that didnt instill a happy transaction. lol

Not that i'd pass up a lava dome, had one loved it... then it got pinched! Just couldn't trust the fella and being halfway up the country it wasnt lke i could pop over and complain. :roll:

I guess, that does make sense, though that rear brake looks suspiciously Lava Dome and I still have doubts about the stem. Still, the guys feedback spoke reams, better to miss a fantastic deal than end up with a grifter eh?

Hi Guys, I have been bidding on a retro kona on ebay, the seller of which has had some very questionable feedback... namely, bad! The bike itself was being sold as a 'Joe Murray Kona Explosive' lol which when searching for a Kona Explosif was as you can imagine, pretty difficult to find...

Nice Bike! Funnily enough I am currently in convo to purchase a 93 Lava Dome, in pretty much pristine condition and with all original parts (no rust, dings... just a few scratches) problem being I can't try it out for size as its not close. It's a 20" frame and I'm 5"10 ish with inside leg...
